September, 16 2008 TIRED OF SCAFFOLD MISINFORMATION? Want to know more about scaffolds than what the standards say? This is the class that will take you beyond the “minimum requirements” and beyond the standards. You will discover what a safe scaffold is, not just what the regulations say. You’ll learn to recognize the correct standards and how to apply them. Finally, you will learn evaluation methods to ensure your scaffold is compliant and SAFE!
Back by request, this is the only seminar of its kind on the West Coast. And at no additional charge, Scaffolding 103 includes as an integral part OSHA/Rocky Mountain Education Center (REMEC) Trainer Course in Scaffolding along with the Scaffold Industry Association Training Program Scaffold Hazard Awareness Training. Each successful participant will receive an OSHA Certificate of Completion and wallet card in the OSHA/RMEC Trainer Course in Scaffolding, a Certificate of Completion and a Wallet card issued by the Scaffolding Industry Association Training Program in Scaffold Hazard Awareness Training.
Scaffolding 103 is instructed by David Glabe, P.E., of DH Glabe & Associates with assistance from staff from Arise Waco Scaffolding & Equipment. Mr. Glabe is a registered professional engineer who has developed and conducted numerous training and skill evaluation programs for the scaffolding industry. He co-developed the course work and training manual for the highly respected scaffold training seminars held at Purdue University-Calumet. With over 30 years of experience in the scaffold industry, Mr. Glabe serves as one of the primary instructors on scaffold training for the FED/OSHA Training Institute, the OSHA Training Institute at the Rocky Mountain Education Center, the OSHA Training Institute at the University of California—San Diego and for Cal/OSHA. He is the Scaffold Industry Association’s liaison to OSHA at the Federal and State levels.
